“The term “Journalism” is a term coined by a journal. Journalism is the transmission of daily news. Journalism is an integral part of democracy. The philosophy of change is possible through journalism.
Journalism is born out of the study of the situation, contemplation and self-expression and the spirit of welfare of others. Journalism is a profession that has knowledge of social life.
The person doing journalism should be an independent thinker. An independent person who is not involved in any politics can be a journalist who can fulfill the role of true journalism. Having worked in the Health Journal for a long time, I felt that journalism in Nepal was not independent, but it seemed to be wrong.
Journalism is a religion that can provide the reader with a more accurate and unbiased account of current events and problems. The strong pillar of democracy is not much different from journalism. Journalism is an important link in the exchange of information between the people and the government.
Media has an important role in society. Transmitting false news can affect the image of a journalist as a whole. It helps a lot to create harmony between the people and the government. But now the public and the government seem to be losing faith in the journalist.
Nowadays, there seems to be a question mark in the whole world of journalism in the race to become viral by giving wrong news on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. With the advent of social media, electronic media, and the Internet, print media seems to be weakening.
If this is not addressed in time, it could be a major problem for journalists. We need to move forward by understanding the essence of democracy. Today, the root cause of corruption in the country is not much different from the root cause of journalists. It will be a great achievement for journalists to be able to move forward impartially.
