Vitamin-K is an anti-hemorrhagic or coagulation Vitamin. It assists in the formation of prothrombin by the liver and further normal coagulation of the blood. The absence of deficiency of vitamin-K leads to the development of hemorrhagic manifestation. Anti-Hemorrhagic factor-essential for the formation of prothrombin of blood. Hence essential for blood clotting.
